The key attraction of these videos was a humble and kind-hearted old man who just wanted to cook delicious food for the underprivileged children. Be it chicken biryani or Maggi noodles or pizza, his food portions were definitely as big as his heart. We could see several foreigners commenting on his videos and marvelling at his cooking and his benevolence.

What struck most people was how instead of serving the plain old khichdi and rice and dal to the orphanages, he used to emulate popular dishes and serve restaurant quality food to the children. He used to use simple cooking methods and cook in the wild using readily available ingredients. Grand pa Kitchen had prepared a wide range of sumptuous foods for children such as burgers, omelettes, mutton biryani, butter chicken, banana pancakes, chicken curry, prawns biryani, pasta, French fries, chocolate cake, apple pie, chicken fingers, gulab jamun, cheese balls and even KFC styled chicken wings. The children are definitely going to miss this humble man. Our heartfelt condolences to Narayana’s family.
