Devoleena Bhattacharjee who was addressing the role of “Gopi Bahu” on a hit serial “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” suddenly became the talk of the town after entering Big Boss 13. She is often seen in the kitchen section of the house. She is friends with Rashami Desai, Paras Chabra, Mahira Sharma, Arhaan Khan & Kesari Lal Yadav. She re-entered the house after a fake eviction, that took place in mid finale week along with Rashami Desai.
After the two popular “bahus” of the tv industry have re-entered the show, there have been constant quarrels, fights, ranting & lashing out on each other. Where Arhaan & Asim seem to be on the wrong foot, Siddharth & Rashami never go well.
Devoleena was seen arguing with Shefali Jariwala about the household duties. She called out on Shefali for being biased and not assigning work to Siddharth Shukla because of the bond between the two shares. Shefali tries to make Devoleena understand that the duties were divided when everyone agreed and now all of a sudden why do you have a problem with that? To which Devoleena answers that in this house everyone works except Siddharth Shukla. Kesari Lal Yadav, Rashami Desai & Vishal Aditya Singh were seen supporting the argument. The contestants were seen taunting the Dil Se Dil Tak actor by saying that he roams around in the house with his “big body” and does absolutely nothing.
Things have turned sour in the house when the Tv actress Devoleena abused Siddharth Shukla. She went on to call him “kaamchor” and claimed that he is only in the house for sleeping. She lashed out on the audience for not being able to see the real side of Shukla. She called out names like “Magarmaach” “Psycho” etc. She urged the audience to see how he is inside the house. She went onto say that Shukla tries to fight with everyone in the house and then becomes the target himself. This eventually turns out to be a mudda in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
Later, Devoleena was seen crying & venting out her heart out to friend Rashami Desai in the washroom. She was heard saying that she is disgusted with Siddharth Shukla and is more upset with the fact that no one from her team or other members came out and supported her while she was fighting with him.
When asked Anima, Devoleena’s mother on how does she her daughter doing inside the house, the mother apologized to Siddharth Shukla! Anima went on to say that her daughter needs to be a little more careful about choosing sides because she feels that her now friends might betray her in the end. Anima stated that she fears that Rashami Desai might backstab Devoleena later in the game.
Talking about her equation with Siddharth inside the house Anima said, “Devoleena was wrong to call Siddharth a ‘psycho’. We shouldn’t use such words on TV. It wasn’t right of her. I am sorry on her behalf.” It’s amusing that an actress who has worked in the industry for such a long time and has received love & affection from the viewers is now accusing the viewers of being biased. The contestant is usually seen calling each other psycho, pagal, etc, which is demeaning because these are genuine mental health problems and not some random words that can be dropped anytime you wish to like.
Devoleena’s rant towards Siddharth Shukla & the viewers was not taken very positively on social media. Fans on twitter trolled the actress for reacting too much over such a small thing. People went onto tweet that Siddhart’s team does not talk about the other team at all but Devoleena’s team is always heard & seen bitching about the other team. They asked the actress how much can you speak about a man.
Recently, Devoleena was seen trying to play tricks with Siddharth Shukla and being sarcastically nice to him. Twitterati didn’t take this nicely either. They went onto say that if you provoke someone, be ready for the consequences too. While Siddharth was seen not interested in talking to the actress and was heard saying that she is trying to act smart but it doesn’t matter to me.
In today’s episode of Big Boss 13, we will get to see the captaincy candidates; Vishal Aditya Singh, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Mahira Sharma & Paras Chhabra getting criticism from Big Boss for sleeping all day. After the captaincy task, the four mentioned are supposed to fight for the captaincy. But Big Boss’ house has one major rule that you cannot sleep until the lights are switched off. The contestants are found sleeping all day and thus Big Boss feels that the four candidates are not worthy of becoming the captain of the house.
Post announcement by Big Boss, the new wild card entry Vishal Aditya Singh was seen losing his temper. He tells Big Boss that he will continue to sleep and he can do whatever he wants to do. The four candidates are out of the captaincy task and now it will be very interesting to see who will become the captain after Shefali.
