A man takes a house on rent, and after a couple of years, he captures the land saying it is his property. The landlord files a complaint against him. The case continues for a few years, and at last the court decided to give the land to the man and the landlord is allotted another piece at a nearby place. Will you call it justice?

This is what actually happened in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janambhoomi case. The land belonged to Hindus but to keep peace and harmony between both the religions, the court allotted 5 acres of land to Muslims.

This decision has left many questions unanswered. The overall verdict is filled with many holes. Many pieces of evidence have been neglected by the Supreme court while taking this decision.
From the evidence, it is proved that there was a temple that was demolished, and a mosque was created on it. And then during a political rally, the mosque was demolished which became a riot on December 6, 1992.

The case was filed in Allahabad High court where a three judges ruled out on September 30 2010, the 2.77 acres of the disputed land to be broken down into three pieces and distributed. With one third going to Hindu Maha Sabha representing Ram Lalla, one third going to the Sunni Waqf Board, and the remaining one third going to Nirmohi Akhara, a Hindu religious denomination. The decision was partly agreed. The part of the decision that says the disputed mosque was structured after the demolition of the temple was declined, but the temple structure was constructed before the mosque was accepted.

The five-judged Supreme court heard the title-dispute case from August to October 2019 and finally ruled out previous decision on November 9, 2019, and with due respect for both religions said the 2.77 acres land belong to the government based on Tax records and it has to be handed over to a trust to build Hindu temple. It also said to allot 5 acres land to Sunni Waqf Board to build the mosque.

At first, the judgment expresses respect for the disciplines of practices as practised by professional historians, and then the decision goes in favour of Hindus. This all shows partiality in the decision. Now it depends on the Sunni Waqf Board to accept the land or reject it. A meeting of Sunni board will be called in 15 days.

There have been mixed reactions from different Muslim communities. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the Supreme Court judgment and suggested to reject the alternative five-acre plot given for the construction of a mosque. Sunni Central Waqf Board in Uttar Pradesh is one of the main litigants in the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid case, agrees with Supreme court decisions. The Shahi Imam of the Jama Masjid in Delhi, Syed Ahmed Bukhari does not want the matter to be stretched.

The current situation seems to be in peace. This victory of facts over faith will leave a negative impact on the youngsters. A state of shock and disbelief is still running in minds.
