The obsessive Maya Mehrotra of “Beyhadh” is all set to return onscreen on December 2nd, 2019 with the second season of “Beyhadh 2”. Joining the cast for the new season is Shivin Narang and Aashish Chaudhary. The two actors will play the prime role in the serial along with Jennifer Winget.

Recently, the show makers organized a press conference for the unveiling of the show. During the meeting, the cast answered various questions about their specific roles on the show.

Jennifer Winget specially mentioned the fact that this season the audience will get to see Maya dressed up in black, unlike the previous season where she donned all white. She explained that last season was about Maya’s obsession with love and staying away from filing anyone’s color in her life. But this season is Maya’s obsession over revenge, and black is a color that never gets affected by any color. Maya’s claims are very dark, durable and sturdy.

Jennifer Winget who has played Maya in the previous season claims that this season is dark, intense and cruel. The obsession that Maya has to face is a level above the last season.

In the previous season, you saw Kushal Tandon opposite Jennifer Winget. This season you’ll see Shivin Narang & Aashish Chaudhary opposite Jennifer. He will play Aashish Chaudhary’s son on the show.

Asking about his role and stepping into Kushal Tandon’s shoes; Shivin replied with an honest sounding answer. He mentioned that he is very excited to be a part of Beyhadh 2. The actor learned Fencing (sport), especially for the show and said,” I am always up to learn new things and hone my skills. Fencing will be shown on screen, and there are numerous such fighting scenes and sequences that have been performed. When I was told that I would have to learn Fencing for the role, I was quite excited yet a little nervous.”

Shivin continued, “Fencing is very different from sword fighting and requires proper skill set and technique. Compared to a sword fight, Fencing is more restricted and driven by rules. After training for more than 60 days, I felt confident to be able to hold the weapon and fight onscreen.”

Asking about working with Jennifer feels like,” She is a fine actress, and I am happy about sharing screen space with her. When I heard the story, it never felt even for a second that the narrative is driven by one character. It’s also about how well an actor performs to establish himself. I don’t do shows in which heroes don’t contribute to the drama,” said Shivin Narang.

For the second lead, we have Dhamaal actor, Aashish Chaudhary, who will be portraying an older man who has to deal with Maya’s obsession and revenge. Ashish seemed very prepped up for his role on the show. He has donned up the salt & pepper look to give his character feel & vibe of an older man. At the press conference, Ashish mentioned that the reason he chose to do this serial is that the storyline is way too different from the regular storylines. The antagonist of the show is the protagonist in disguise which keeps the audience hooked up throughout. He also mentioned that the director has been very involved in narrating the script to him, which he admired.

Ashish also claimed that he has no issues in playing an elderly role even if it’s of a grandfather if the audience is liking what he is doing. The reason he opted for a makeover is to give his character feel and bring it to live. Ashish doesn’t want his character to look fake or trying too much on screen. The actor was last seen in Dev where he played the role of a detective.

The promos of the upcoming show are out and creating a buzz just like the previous season. Everyone is pretty much fond of Jennifer’s portrayal of a woman who is not only dark but obsessive in terms of whatever she does.

The story in the second season is dark, intense and cruel. The hateful chemistry between Shivin & Jennifer as Rudra & Maya is too real to feel. The show will be back onscreen on December 2nd, 2019 at 9 PM.

Are you excited to watch the revengeful story of an obsessive woman?
