Sharad Pawar

The savvy politician, Sharad Pawar of the alliance government in Maharashtra is all set to reveal the dirty politics of the Modi government. He is a strong candidate known to do what he says. His credibility was proved when Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself offered him to work together. Pawar revealed in an interview with ABP-Majha, Modi also offered his daughter Supriya Sule to be a minister in the union government if Pawar agrees to team with the BJP to form the government in Maharashtra. See his power!!

This proposal was given in one-to-one meetings on November 20 during the war for CM seat when both the parties were trying best with heal peaks to form government in Maharashtra. Pawar says he said “Thanks but no thanks”.

PM Modi also appreciated Pawar in Parliament during a debate on the 250th session of Rajya Sabha and said some parties, including the BJP, should learn from the NCP on how to adhere to parliamentary norms.

Although this was not the first time, PM Modi appreciated the Maratha government. In 2016, he praised the NCP to set an example for others in public life during his visit to the Vasant dada Sugar Institute in Pune.

But these praises didn’t change Pawar’s decision of keeping NCP away from BJP.

At the time of imposing of President’s rule, Sharad Pawar being quit witted develop an idea, and NCP sent a letter to governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, about six hours before the deadline to give additional time to explore more possibilities of government formation.

When Modi was stuck between the Fadnavis- Pawar shows Senior Pawar started his labyrinth and brought the trio- Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and the Shiv Sena all having different ideologies together on the same table. They together formed an alliance called Mahashivagadi.

It was quite daring to challenge an opposition having 115 seats when you are stuck at 54. The Senior Pawar’s moves were so silent and powerful that even the Modi government didn’t know when they were out of the seat war.

Forming a government in Maharashtra was a strong answer to Fadnavis’ statement of Pawar’s politics is finished in Maharashtra.

After the elections, Sharad Pawar said, “The election results are the beginning of a change in Maharashtra. (They) show that people do not like the arrogance of power. When you detach yourself from the ground realities, people do not welcome it. The BJP’s claims of crossing 220 seats have not been accepted by the people.”

Although the pre-poll alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena could easily have the numbers to form a government, Sharad didn’t want to create any bridges between two parties that’s why rejected to be in alliance with BJP and chose the other two players.

Pawar being a close friend of Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray made him a father-figure to Uddhav Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray, after taking the oath, sworn to end the financial instability and unexpected turnaround in the state’s politics. These lines are an intimation to the Modi government of troubles coming their way in Maharasthra.

Thakeray has started implementing what he said by visiting Srirampur taluka in Ahmednagar to check if the schemes introduced by the existing government have reached the farmers or not. He also mentioned that there is a chance of a scam in the PM crop insurance scheme. He also warned Amit Shah to rein in its leaders after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Girish Mahajan and Chandrakant Patil made a statement that next CM will be from their party.

There are around 70 MLAs in BJP who were brought in the party by promising power, BJP scared that they may come back and even one of them has openly met Sharad Pawar, Senior NCP leader Nawab Malik said. The resignation of Union Minister of Heavy Industries Arvind Sawant was another shock for the Modi government.

BJP’s biggest regret

Something is better than nothing. BJP surely regret to reject the proposal of 50:50 formula proposed by Uddav Thakrey when 105 seats were with BJP and 56 were with Shiv Sena.

The politics in Maharashtra are going to be a roller-coaster for BJP. Let us hope this ride does not affect the common man in Maharashtra.
