At the behest of former CBI Special Director Rakesh Asthana, who was engulfed in controversies, an attempt was made to collect Rs 50 lakh from a doctor in Chandigarh. Investigations have been ordered against Asthana, former DGP of Chandigarh Tejinder Singh Luthra, DSP Satish Kumar who has gone back to Delhi and Inspector Ashwani Kumar on the complaint of the doctor. For this, CBI Delhi wrote to Chief Vigilance Officer of UT i.e. Advisor Manoj Parida - The whole matter is from Chandigarh. At the same time, officers have misused power. Therefore UT Vigilance should investigate this.

The case has reached the Supreme Court and achieved a significant point, posted to be heard on November 07. The judge presiding over the matter, Justice B.R. Gavai, recused himself from the case and the hearing was postponed to the second week of December.

A special court in Delhi has given a big blow to Congress leader P Chidambaram. The Rouse Avenue court has allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to arrest and interrogate former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media money laundering case. The court allowed the ED to interrogate P Chidambaram for 30 minutes. The ED will interrogate him in Delhi's Tihar Jail tomorrow.
