The Maharashtra government on Wednesday announced five-day work week for its officers and employees beginning February 29 and extended the current work hours by 45 minutes.

The Fit India Movement has a 'Fitness Pledge' that reads... “I promise to myself that I will devote time for physical activity and sports every day and I will encourage my family members and neighbours to be physically fit and make India a fit nation.”

On Monday, Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy slammed the Central government over its decision to sell 100 per cent stake of the national carrier Air India.

The scheme is for deserving students from class 9 to postgraduate level that belongs to OBC, SC, Denotified, Nomadic and semi-Nomadic Tribe (DNT) and economically backward caste (EBC) categories. The other proposal is for the welfare of senior citizens to engage them in mentoring and tutoring students for the proposed scholarship scheme which has been tentatively termed as PM-Yasasvi (PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India). 

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, keeping the pollution from commercial automobiles in mind proposed certain steps including the scrappage policy which will revive the automobile sector. These steps aim at increasing production levels and capacity utilization at factories. The Scrappage policy is believed to revive the ailing commercial vehicle industry by promoting the replacement of old vehicles by replacing them with new modern ones.

It seems BJP is always ready to get collated with any party to humiliate Congress. But as said’ every evil has its end’, recent Maharashtra election case has shaken the over-confidence level of BJP showing them their place.  

On Friday, the landmark Judgement in the Essar Steel case was passed by the Supreme Court of India, which gave priority to the financial creditors against the operational creditors. From the proceeds that will be generated from the liquidation process dues of the financial creditors will be released on a priority basis, and then the operational creditors will be paid.  Not only came the Essar ruling but also a new rule for the Bankruptcy law was notified. Ministry of Corporate Affairs has notified the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Insolvency and Liquidation Proceedings of Financial Service Providers and Application to Adjudicating Authority) Rules, 2019. The new rules have been notified, especially for the insolvency proceeding against the Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and will not include banks. The central government framed the rules for the insolvency that is initiated against the FSPs and mentioned that an insolvency proceeding against the FSPs could only be taken only when an appropriate regulator makes the application.
