Delhi is choking again and with the drastic spikes in the pollution levels, the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority [EPCA] has directed to shut down the schools in Delhi-NCR till November 15. The directive came in on Wednesday in response to the alarming levels of environmental distress.

Delhi Air Quality Index (AIR) drops to the ‘very poor’ category.

For the first time in this season, the Air Quality Index [AQI] of New Delhi has been categorized as ‘very poor’. The Central Pollution Control Board on 16 October, has provided the value of the AQI for Delhi set at 304. The AQI is a comprehensive mechanism for the measure of the air status in understandable terms.
