A 16-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by 10 persons for over six months in Maharashtra's Solapur district, police said on Wednesday.

Maharashtra minister Jitendra Ahwad on Friday said the Koregaon-Bhima violence case, filed during the previous BJP regime, was a "conspiracy" to malign the image of activists sympathetic to Dalit causes.

He has demanded that as the case was based on frivolous grounds, the same be withdrawn and the activists soon be released. NCP is one of the three political parties who have joined hands in alliance to form a government in the State.

Enslavement not only is reflected in the book but in Bama's own life and thus she has made an attempt to instill confidence and motive, especially the Dalit youth to stay strong and fight back with all their will and strength.

The decision was passed by a bench comprising of Justices Arun Mishra and S Ravindra Bhat. Attorney General K K Venugopal remarked that the Centre has a revised offer of offering 400 square meters, instead of the earlier offer of 200 square metre area for the temple. This increase in land area for the temple has been done keeping in view the faith and sentiments of devotees.
