Supreme Court Coordinator of NRC in Assam to be transferred
In a recent judgement by the Supreme Court, the Centre and Assam government have been directed to effectuate an immediate inter-cadre transfer of National Register of Citizens (NRC) coordinator Prateek Hajela to Madhya Pradesh for maximum period permissible under relevant guidelines. The judgement was delivered by division bench consisting of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S A Bobde and R F Nariman.
