The US House of Representatives passed a resolution and submitted the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump to the Senate for a historic trial to remove him from office, a move described by the unfazed President as "another con job" by the Opposition Democrats.

US President Donald Trump has become the third President in the history of the country to be impeached in the lower house of parliament (House of Representatives). Two motions were introduced in the House for impeachment against Trump. Trump was accused of abuse of power in the first motion. The second motion accused him of obstructing the work of Parliament during the impeachment hearing. During voting on both resolutions, Democrats voted against Trump and Republicans voted for Trump.

The impeachment investigation against US President Donald Trump continues. Trump is accused of forcing Ukraine to act against former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. Mary Yovanovich, who was the US ambassador to Ukraine on Friday, was called for testimony in the case. However, as soon as Mary started speaking, Trump started targeting her with a few tweets. The chairman of the investigation committee said that President Trump's tweets are bullying witnesses.

In the ongoing trial, a top US diplomat in Ukraine and another senior State Department official testified in the first phase in the impeachment probe at the House of Representatives. In another development of the case, Marie Yovanovicth has testified as a part of the probe. She had testified that she is feeling a 'big threat' when Trump ousted her from the post as the US ambassador to Ukraine. Marie is the former US Ambassador.
