The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday said that no meeting has been scheduled with Union Home Minister Amit Shah for Sunday after the protestors at Shaheen Bagh claimed to be going to meet Shah to discuss issues related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Suspended DSP Davinder Singh and three other people arrested with him were produced before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Jammu on Thursday.

The ministry, in its advice, had also mentioned all the measures that can be taken to prevent heinous crimes with women. Key things included 'Good Samaritan' and 'Zero FIR'. Most states have unnecessarily delayed implementing a dozen recommendations of the Union Home Ministry.

After the Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI), card-status was revoked for journalist and author Aatish Taseer, in an interview with India Today he has commented on the matter. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading India on a path that leads to fear, political vendetta and anti-minority environment. It is believed that the sudden revocation of the OCI card status is a direct fallout of his publication in the TIME Magzine which managed a spot on the cover page of its international edition. A few days ago Whatsapp confirmed that Pegasus, spyware made by NSO was used to have some 1,400 people globally of which two dozen were Indians. The Indians who were looked into using this malware entering their phone via the WhatsApp mobile application were activists and human rights lawyers. In conversation with The Quint, NSO told that:
