India has rejected the US statement on the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said on Tuesday that the US International Center for Religious Freedom (USCIRF) does not need to interfere in our affairs. The Citizenship Bill (CAB) and NRC do not snatch Indian citizenship from anyone on the basis of religion. The USCIRF described the citizenship bill as biased.

The five-judged Supreme court heard the title-dispute case from August to October 2019 and finally ruled out previous decision on 9 November 2019 and with due respect for both religions said the 2.77 acres land belong to the government based on Tax records and it has to be handed over to a trust to build Hindu temple. It also said to allot 5 acres land to Sunni Waqf Board to build the mosque.
