A bill was introduced in Parliament on Friday to honor Sikh policeman Sandeep Dhaliwal, who lost his life in Hate Crime two months ago in Texas, USA. Under this, a Houston Post Office was proposed to be renamed to Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal Post Office. US lawmaker Lizzy Fletcher introduced the bill in the House of Representatives on Friday. She said Deputy Dhaliwal worked for equality, relationships and community in Texas and devoted his life to other's services. Hence the 'Deputy Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal Post Office' in Houston will always be a reminder of his services and sacrifices.

In Telangana, questions are being raised on the encounter of 4 accused of rape and murder with the Veterinary Doctor. A petition in the case was filed in the Supreme Court on Saturday. It demanded an FIR, investigation and action against the policemen involved in the encounter. Petitioners Advocate GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav have said that the police did not follow the 2014 Supreme Court Guidelines in this case.

Bastar ‘fake’ encounter leaked report says those killed were not Maoists

After seven and a half years of an alleged encounter in the State of Chattisgarh’s Bastar region between the security forces and alleged Maosit, a court of inquiry has come to a conclusion. The alleged encounter is said to have killed seventeen villagers, including seven minors and six security personnel and ten villagers were left injured after the violent roundabout. The encounter was carried out despite no evidence on record to suggest that the killed or injured in the exchange were Maoists. The flip side of the story suggests that they were not Maoists and the police knew about the same before engaging with them. A single member inquiry commission was directed in the said case with a retired judge of the Madhya Pradesh high court, Justice V.K. Agarwal.
