Iran attacked US military bases in Iraq on Wednesday morning to avenge the assassination of General Qasim Suleimani. Iran is reported to have fired 22 ballistic missiles at the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq's Anbar province and a green zone in Irbil (US military bases). Iranian media has claimed that 80 'American terrorists' were killed in these attacks. Amidst all this, Iran's Ambassador to India, Ali Chegeni, has said that we do not want war. We want peace and prosperity for all in the region. In such a situation, if India initiates peace between Iran and America, we welcome it.
