The number of corona infected in the country has increased to 27 lakh 66 thousand 626. The number of recovered patients also crossed 20 lakh. On Tuesday, a record 60 thousand 455 infections people recovered. They constitutes 73% of the total patients. On the other hand, 65 thousand 24 cases were reported corona positive on Tuesday. Maharashtra has the highest number of cases at 11 thousand 119. Andhra Pradesh ranked second. 9 thousand 652 cases were reported here.
The number of recovered patients tripled from the active case;
As of Wednesday morning, there are 6 lakh 76 thousand 387 active cases, so the number of recovered patients has increased to 20 lakh 36 thousand 703. Earlier, in Lockdown-3 i.e. on May 1, there were 11 thousand 707 active cases, then the number of healthy patients was 29 thousand 453.

On the other hand, 20 lakh 37 thousand 871 patients became healthy. So far, 52 thousand 889 people have died in the country.
- The Indian Council of Medical Research said that on August 18, 8 lakh one thousand 518 tests were done. With this, 3 crore 17 lakh 42 thousand 782 samples have been investigated so far in the country.

1. Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal, 125 infected were found on Tuesday. Five patients, including former national hockey player Javed Iqbal, succumbed during treatment. Iqbal, 62, was admitted to AIIMS for 19 days. The total infectious population in the capital has crossed 9 thousand (9106). 259 people have died here. So far, 30 people who have recovered from corona have donated plasma.
Higher Education Minister of the country, Dr. Mohan Yadav has also been infected. His report came back positive on Tuesday, while he was involved in the royal ride of Lord Mahakal in Ujjain on Monday. During this, many BJP leaders were with him including Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, MP Anil Ferozia. Currently, he has been admitted to the Aurobindo Hospital in Indore. After Minister Mohan Yadav got infected, many BJP leaders of the state have quarantined themselves.

More than 1300 cases were found for the third consecutive day in the state. There was a record 1347 cases and 11 deaths on Tuesday. For the first time 247 patients were found in Jaipur. The dead included 3 from Jaipur, 3 from Bikaner, 2 from Barmer, 1 each from Ajmer, Tonk and Ganganagar. In the last 24 hours, 1306 patients have also recovered, 1469 were discharged. - Bihar

The Maharashtra government on Tuesday asked all the collectors of the state to take strict action against the hospitals under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) for charging higher fees from covid-19 patients. The government said that if a hospital does not do so, then a penalty of should be charged.
Meanwhile, 4 infected were found on Tuesday in Dharavi, Mumbai. Now there are 2,676 patients here. For the past 15 days, less than 10 patients are coming out positive in this area on a daily basis. Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avnish Awasthi said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked to increase testing in the state. 75 to 80 thousand rapid antigen tests and 40 to 50 thousand RT-PCR tests should be done daily in the state.
