After a political turn of tables in the fascinating Maharashtra elections, the BJP has been embarrassed on a national level. They secretly arranged for swearing-in of Devendra Fadnavis, getting the approval of who is now called a BJP-run governor Koshiayri and the rubber stamp of the President has all resulted into nothing. Now what is of interest is what comes next. The majoritarian party is known for an act of vengeance filled come back to their personal and political rivals.

The second term of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for five years did not last even for four days. Fadnavis was sworn in as chief minister on Saturday morning, on the basis of Ajit Pawar's trust, and immediately removed President's rule from the center. Ajit was made the Deputy Chief Minister. In just three days after forming a secret government, Ajit Pawar realized that uncle Sharad Pawar had the key to power. On Tuesday morning, the Supreme Court ruled on the floor test, and in the afternoon, Ajit Pawar quietly resigned. Fadnavis also announced his resignation after an hour. In this way, after winning the Lok Sabha elections with an absolute majority, Maharashtra the first major state eloped from the hands of BJP. BJP MLA Kalidas Columbkar was made the protem speaker and has called the first session of the assembly at 8 am on Wednesday, in which the MLAs will be administered the oath.

In a decision pending before the Supreme Court in a plea filed by NCP-Sena-Congress alliance, the judgment is pronounced. The Supreme Court vide its decision has ordered for a floor test tomorrow. The test will conclusively decide on the strength of the BJP-led Maharashtra government. The opposition of NCP-Sena-Congress alliance is headstrong to claim that they do not have necessary support.

In an unprecedented manner of a show of strength, with banners reading 'We are 162' and the Constitution, the MLAs of the three parties- Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress pledged loyalty to the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Sonia Gandhi at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on Monday. In what is now being mocked as a 'political fashion show', it was a show of strength that has morally bound the BJP from all ends.

Believe it or not, the existence of the opposition party is as important as the existing government. It helps in keeping the things on track by keeping an eagle’s eye on the working of the existing government. Any decision announced and a vigorous attack like an arrow waiting to be eagerly shot is thrown at the target making people aware of the ill-effects of the decision taken and trying to make people realize their wrong decision of voting the existing government. The attack also forces the government to maintain transparency with the people as the opposition party will use the hidden information as a weapon against them. But to do this, a strong and experienced party is required and in India, who else can do this task better than the Congress leaders.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray hit back at BJP and Devendra Fadnavis. In the press conference, Uddhav said that Devendra Fadnavis listed all the reasons for not being able to form a government. He listed the list of charges. We want to say that we do what we say. Our work is not like BJP.
