In a recent judgement by the Supreme Court, the Centre and Assam government have been directed to effectuate an immediate inter-cadre transfer of National Register of Citizens (NRC) coordinator Prateek Hajela to Madhya Pradesh for maximum period permissible under relevant guidelines.
