There is anger among students of Aligarh Muslim University after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. In view of the demonstration, security forces have been set up in the AMU campus. Earlier on Tuesday evening, students shouted slogans against the administration and protested by burning a copy of the bill. The students took out a torch procession. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been declared anti-Muslim. During this time the police also had to use force. Police have registered a case against 500 students, including 20 nominated, for violating Section 144.
Slogans of Hindutva Murdabad
The students shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah from the Maulana Azad Library to the University Circle for opposing the bill. In a hurry, the force reached the campus. AMU estimated that the procession could have between two and three hundred students. The same info was with the Public Intelligence Police. The Civil Lines Police was the only present on Bab-e -Syed. The crowd of students came out of the library canteen and everyone became alert. At first, they tried to stop students at Bab-e -Syed, but the students did not stop. Subsequently, the authorities were informed to send more police forces. The students then passed the administrative building and reached the University Circle.
Thousands of students were shouting slogans
After this, ADM City Rakesh Malpani and SP City Abhishek Kumar reached with police from other police stations. Seeing the way thousands of students were moving around shouting slogans, it was not possible that the students could be stoped. The student leaders also realized this. He made a chain to stop the students with the help of some students, then students could be stopped. Only then the students went back to the campus without circling the university circle. The students were demanding cancellation of the exams to be held on Wednesday, which was rejected by Intzamia. Late night police has registered a case against 500 students, including 20 nominated under the section of obstruction of government work and breach of peace.
Student leaders said
Alumni Association President Salman Imtiaz said- this torch was taken out in protest against the citizenship bill. Our appeal is that MPs in Rajya Sabha should not support this bill. This bill is not only a threat to the Muslims but also to the Hindu community and Hindustani culture.
Student Mohammad Arif Khan said – a new circus is happening in the country, we are opposing the same. BJP government should stop this circus. Did 15 lakh rupees come to the account? Got employment? Are all issues resolved? Will a new India be created in this way? Jinnah, who gave the concept of Divide and Rule, we abuses him, today the same rule is being brought by Modi & Amit Shah. My elders have shed blood here. Do you want to see dead bodies on the tricolor? We are Muslims, keepers and soldiers of Sayyed. We will oppose this bill.
